The humour in this book was basically the protagonists exchanging quips. But there’s a difference between humour that signifies a connection and the kind found here. And the thing I love most about her books is that her characters laugh together. But for the most part, I didn’t enjoy myself. I also found learning about England’s justice system interesting. We all know Lily Morton isn’t a bad writer, and some parts did make me laugh. The two are quite different but also share many similarities.Īnd for this review, I’m gonna jump straight to the problems I had with it. Laurie is close to Magnus’s age and his new neighbour. He ensures that by only sleeping with handsome younger men with whom he has nothing in common. He’s successful, very happy with his single lifestyle, and has no desire for a committed relationship. Other than having some mixed feelings about Milo, I’ve enjoyed everything the author has put out. This is my first time not liking a Lily Morton book, and it sucks. Genre: Adult, Contemporary Romance, M/M, Humour
